Fire

My husband's business burned down yesterday. Fire is the most frightening thing, we think we are so safe but in an instant fire can take everything. You may never actually meet a fireman (I hope not) but they are impressive in the extreme. Courageous, kind and efficient. Many thanks to the the three fire departments... who responded. No one was injured and we have a new appreciation of the miracle that is each day!

I am blessed!

Today I attended a Mayan Astrology class and I was intrigued with the way it was taught. Rodrigo took us all the way back to the past and showed us how different calendars were created and manipulated! It is a wonder that anyone worries about 2012 as trying to sync the Julian calendar and the Mayan is really difficult since they are not coming at the concept on time in the same way! Intriguing!

My Wish

Yesterday I attended the funeral of my cousin Jimmy Mikutis. His daughter gave the eulogy and said, "My father was a regular guy. He was not exciting, he was regular. He was a good husband, he was a good father, he was a goof friend and a good neighbor. He was dependable, you could count on him." I now have a new wish...I would like to be a regular gal! My hat is off to all of you who already are!

I am being called "The Cranky Guru"! It is indeed true. That is, if your defination of Guru is someone who has come so far that they can laugh at themselves and the definition of Cranky is someone who is annoyed at people who can't laugh at themselves!!!

Intuition

Intuition is with us every day. It does not come fleetingly but hovers on the edges of our consciousness. You can "feel" you children, your mother, your neighbor but since the "feelings" often have nothing to do with what your mind "knows" you often reject them and bring up eroneous images to replace the intuition. For instance your intuition may be telling you to call someone but your thoughts tell you that the person hates you so you reject the intuition and then you finally connect with the person and the say, "I have been thinking of you so much, why haven't you called"?? Your intuition was right and your thoughts were wrong. How nice it would be if we all saved time and energy and just listened to our intuition!

Peace

Wow, peace can come rushing in at the oddest times. I just saw a client and am waiting to get my picture taken for the back of my new book and suddenly all is well with the world. What a precious gift!
